The original Simbahan blog started in June 19, 2007 as a website devoted to my interest in Philippine religious heritage architecture. At that time, I have been documenting Philippine heritage churches that got me commissioned as one of the principal photographers of my first coffee table book, Philippine Church Facades.

In the past years, I’ve been mulling of streamlining the blogs that I have and in 2022, I took down the simbahan.net domain. Fast forward to April 2024, I revived Simbahan blog as a subdomain of my main site, stancabigas.com.

In the next few months, I will be posting slowly a selection of posts from the previous site as well as probably add additional content. But this time, it would cover a broader subject on religious architecture and related structures.
